This was a well kept secret five years ago. The road to the parking lot is atrocious but I made it in a Dodge charger. The hike from the parking lot to the springs is advanced - steep and some distance. Every rafting group seems to stop now. If you can make the drive and the hike - do it.
Really cool place to hang out when it gets cold. The warm spring stays warm even while the river is icing over. Pretty easy trail. It might be a little more difficult after fresh snow, but I'm not sure yet
Absolutely love this place. Amazing camping on the top, a little bit of a hike down. But it’s nice to be able to go to Hot Springs that has a cold River that you can plunge into after being in the Hot Springs.
The weekends get busy and there’s people jump off the rock, which, as I’ve seen is pretty daring, but no one when I was there got hurt.
Be sure to pick up the area and keep it clean so that it will be available for future use.
Very pretty trail and some good camping spots if you get there early enough! The trail was kind of hard to find to get to the warm springs and it is a difficult trail to get down so bring good hiking shoes. Once there it’s very scenic and fun to watch the rafters go down the river.
Great hike to a great view. Went 1st week in October, so didn't encounter any crowds. Only some weird witchy hissing folks, but overall, not a terrifying experience.
(NO FIRES)(PICK UP YOUR TRASH) Some of the areas are definitely four-wheel drive areas with big ruts and tons of rocks there are several camping areas with great sun set views and others for groups of 10 big and small areas (NO LIVE BAIT OR BOBBER FISHING IN RIVER) YOU CAN RENT RAFTS, PONTOON BOATS, CANOES etc. TO FLOAT DOWN THE RIVER (Not sure on all details) YOU WILL GO PAST ALL THE PEOPLE THAT ARE JUMPING OFF CLIFFS THERE'S CLIFF DIVING AND I BELIEVE IT'S 55 FT (JUMP AT YOUR OWN RISK ) AND THERE'S ALSO A 25-FT ONE THEY ARE BOTH HARD TO GET TO ONE IS A EXTREME HIKE AND THE OTHER ONE IS IF YOU RAFT DOWN THE RIVER THEN YOU CAN CLIMB OUT AND CLIMB UP THE MOUNTAIN AND JUMP OFF THE 25-FOOTER (BRING TONS OF WATER) AND TRAIL MIX EVEN SOME OXYGEN !! THE WARM SPRINGS IS JUST BELOW THE 55FT CLIFF EASIER TO GET TO BY RAFT!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!! THE HIKE IS VERY STEEP AND NARROW !!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE WERE A HEARD OF RAMS HANGING OUT BY OUR CAMP SO ALWAYS KEEP YOUR GUARD UP WE HEARD COYOTES AND AT NIGHT FIELD MICE CAME UP AND WERE NOT AFRAID TO COME RIGHT UP TO YOU ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE FOOD THE BUGS WERE ALSO HEAVY SO BRING CAMPING FOG AND A BUG CANDLE HELPS WITH MOTHS (ALSO I USE A SWITCH LED LIGHT AND SET IT ABOUT 15 FT AWAY FROM CAMP KEPT MOST OF BUGS AWAY) Water was Cold, Fishing was OKAY, THE PEOPLE WHERE AWESOME
Radium is a truly amazing and beautiful area. Remote yet not so far away! The river there is a great place to raft if your looking for a more relaxing float.
A little hike down and up and Icy in the winters but worth it, don’t follow the trail label ol’ warm hot springs instead go right
